Canada's Favourite Car: The 2022 Honda Civic

The 2022 Honda Civic is set to arrive in fall and everyone has been buzzing over what’s new in the latest generation.

A Legacy

The Honda Civic has been the most popular car in Canada for the past 22 years[1] and the newest launch will be the 11th generation in the Civic timeline. The line-up will include Sedan, Hatchback, Si, and Type R.

Not only is the Civic a Canadian favourite, but each Honda Civic sedan that is sold in Canada is proudly manufactured and assembled in Alliston, Ontario.

Timeless Interiors and Sporty Exteriors

The 2022 Honda Civic will stay true to its human-centric philosophy of “man-maximum, machine-minimum” by taking beloved elements from the classic Civic and enhancing each one to stay updated and relevant with the times.

The exterior will focus on being low and wide. It will feature a low beltline and low overall stance. The vehicle’s clean lines intend to give an aerodynamic feel to the ride while still maintaining the sporty aura that consumers know and love. The Civic’s interior will be optimized to be open and airy. The improved interior design allows more visibility for both drivers and passengers.

The Latest Features and Fuel Efficiency

The newest Civic will be equipped with improved driver assistance features such as an upgraded Honda Sensing® technology and Advanced Compatibility Engineering (ACE™). Unique to the 11th generation Civic is an all-new all-digital driver’s meter cluster and a 9-inch HD display audio touch screen. It has also won the best safety innovation award in Canada for its new front passenger airbag.[2]

The current Civic model is one of the most fuel-efficient cars in the compact car segment and you can expect that standard to translate onto the new generation as well.
