Lexus RC F party: An evening of smoking tires, dynamic design, and high society
On April 23, 2015, Openroad Lexus Richmond celebrated the launch of the sleek new 2015 Lexus RC with a private launch party at the Landmark Aviation hanger in Richmond.
Guests were given the opportunity to test drive the all-new Lexus RC “Radical Coupe” in two models: the 306 hp all-wheel-drive RC350 and the 467 hp V8 rear-drive high-performance RC F.
Also on hand were also two out of only ten (in Canada; 500 worldwide) hand-assembled limited production Lexus LFA supercar. A real treat for any car aficionado, and also perfect pairing with Execair’s Citation private charter jet parked in the background.
An imaginative menu by SavoryChef was offered throughout the evening, as was a live streaming of Game 5 of the Vancouver Canucks Stanley Cup Playoffs. Talented electric violinist Kytami also wowed the guests with her performance combining classic and electronic, ancient and new age music.
Perhaps the Pièce De Résistance of the evening was the premiere of “The Pursuit”, a short film created by OpenRoad Auto Group in collaboration with Drive Marketing Group.
The world famous Ken Guishi, one of Japan’s top competitors in the sport of drifting, was unleashed behind the wheel of the RC F in pursuit of an LFA in this Lexus-themed spy thriller action video.
All-in-all, the evening was a wonderful celebration of dynamic design colliding with food, high society, musical innovation, and horsepower!
