On Nov. 8, OpenRoad Auto Group officially welcomed guests to Langley’s newest luxury automotive dealership, Porsche Centre Langley (PCL).

Refreshments were served and tours offered of the new 42,000 square-foot state-of-the-art retail store, set on a 1.9-acre plot of land located on Collection Drive at the intersection of Langley Bypass and Glover Road.

In addition to OpenRoad Infiniti, OpenRoad MINI Langley, and OpenRoad BMW Langley, this new Porsche store further raises the profile of Canada’s first-ever and only luxury auto mall.

Over the last decade, Langley has seen an increasing demand for luxury living to match its significant growth. With the opening of PCL, Porsche customers will have the option of not having to cross a bridge to have to have their vehicle serviced by an official brand dealership.

OpenRoad Auto Group’s CEO, Christian Chia, was there to personally welcome guests. Also in attendance were general manager Aly Jiwani, seen to the right of Chia in the photo above, and general sales manager Eric Bjorndal.

Porsche Certified Sales Consultant Lorne Freeman took me on a walkthrough of the new building, which houses a sizable showroom that displays up to 18 cars, as well as a 14-bay service shop.

A $300,000-plus specialized lift for the Porsche 918 hybrid supercar, as well as the high tech Hunter alignment machine, were definitely two highlights.

“We even have an amazing floor mat washing machine which soaks, shampoos, and dries the mats in our customer cars in just a couple of minutes,” said Freeman. “The mats come out looking brand new, dry as a bone, and our customers are delighted.”

Another crowd pleaser was the presence of professional racecar driver Scott Hargrove, winner of the 2014 Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge Championship.

Hargrove’s OpenRoad Racing Porsche 991 GT3 Cup race car was brought in for display for guests to touch, see, and feel in person.

If you missed this event don’t worry, there is another one coming up on Saturday Nov. 29. Register for your tickets here.
