2021 Santa Pet Photos x Club OpenRoad

Pet owners got into the holiday spirit for a good cause this year with the return of Club OpenRoad’s Santa Pet Photo events! The special photo sessions were hosted at several OpenRoad locations throughout the region, with all proceeds going to support local charities.

More than 200 Club OpenRoad members and their pets made donations to various local charities to enjoy a visit with Santa, including having their photo taken by professional pet-photographer Katherine Gonzalez. Afterwards, the animals enjoyed some healthy snacks for being good models, and so did the humans.

Events were hosted over two days in December at OpenRoad Honda Richmond, OpenRoad Subaru Boundary, OpenRoad Honda Surrey, and OpenRoad Toyota Abbotsford. The dealership environment was able to comfortably accommodate members and their families as well as multiple animals, all while avoiding the holiday mall rush. All kinds of pets were welcomed; Santa was happy to meet dogs, cats, and even a bearded dragon!

Thanks to members’ generosity, Club OpenRoad successfully raised over $5,500 towards the Regional Animal Protection Society (RAPS), St John Ambulance Therapy Dog Program (SJA), the Surrey Animal Resource Centre (SARC), and Canadian Red Cross BC Flood Relief.
