Santa Pet Photos x Club OpenRoad
Your pets are a part of your family, so shouldn’t they be able to join you in your holiday photos?
This year, Club OpenRoad facilitated a special Santa Pet Photos event at several OpenRoad locations, with all proceeds going to support local animal shelters.
Club OpenRoad members were able to pre-register for their chosen time-slots through the event invitation emailed to all members. More than 200 members pre-booked for their photo appointments with Santa, and many more attended as drop-ins at the various events. Members and their family and friends made their donations to the local animal shelter upon arrival and then had professional, award-winning pet-photographer Radina Droumeva capture their magical moment with Santa. Afterwards, the animals enjoyed some healthy snacks for being good models, and so did the humans.
The three-day photo event was hosted on select weekends in November and December at OpenRoad Lexus Richmond, MINI Langley, and Mazda Port Moody to cater to the various Club OpenRoad communities. The dealership environment was able to comfortably accommodate members and their families as well as multiple animals, all while avoiding the holiday mall rush. All kinds of pets were welcomed; Santa was happy to meet not only dogs and cats, but also hamsters, hedgehogs, and even a ferret!
Thanks to members’ generosity, Club OpenRoad successfully raised over $5,000 towards the Regional Animal Protection Society (RAPS), The BC Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA), and the Langley Animal Protection Society (LAPS).
We would like to thank our Club OpenRoad members and everyone who participated in the success of the events, including all the volunteers, OpenRoad staff, and the animal shelters. We thank you for helping us support our local animal shelters and wish you all a wonderful holiday season!
