Highlights from Club OpenRoad’s Area 27 Experience

The highly anticipated Area 27 Track Experience was back in 2022 with a total of more than 50 drivers taking part in one of two 2-day events. With so many different vehicle brands represented, The Area 27 Track Experience was an unforgettable event for all of our members, regardless of their skill level. Starting with a member rally from Jaguar Land Rover Langley, members were able to connect over a light breakfast before taking off on a spirited drive through the BC’s breathtaking Highway 3, Crowsnest Pass. Once in the beautiful South Okanagan, guests were treated to a welcome dinner inspired by the Indigenous roots of the Spirit Ridge Resort.

Area 27 Experience

The following morning, members were greeted at Area 27 by breakfast while going through a short classroom session to emphasize safety. The session also highlighted some of the trickier spots of the challenging circuit.

Drivers were then divided into groups and sent out for their first session of the day. Drivers and their guests were provided a delicious buffet lunch in the air-conditioned Area 27 clubhouse, before testing their skills and competing for the fastest run on an Autocross circuit. The day concluded with some open lapping which allowed the Club OpenRoad members to unleash the performance of their sport trim vehicles, and ensured that nobody left without a massive smile on their face.
