The Best of Both Worlds – The New BMW XM Unveiled at BMW Langley
“The best of both worlds” were the words described by BMW Langley’s General Manager Kirt Gill as he spoke to the many excited guests moments before the unveiling of the all-new BMW XM. It was golden hour, and the early spring sun was shining on the many windows of the location’s ///M showroom in the Fraser Valley. The main attraction of the evening: the newest addition to BMW and ///M series lineups, the XM.
While BMW Langley guests waited for the grand unveil, they enjoyed the fine refreshments provided by one of Vancouver’s award-winning caterers, Cocktails and Canapes. The room filled with great social energy, as guests caught up with friends and spoke in excitement about the next generation of BMW’s innovative vehicles. The XM combines the performance of the well-loved ///M series with the newest generation of plug-in hybrid technology—the best of both worlds.
As reveal time finally arrived, guests surrounded the car, with anticipation to capture the moment they had been waiting for that evening. As the distinctive running lights glowed through the fabric cover, the BMW Langley staff pulled off the cover to unveil the XM in all its glory. The first to notice was the BMW Individual Dravit Grey metallic paint colour, along with the exclusive Night Gold exterior accents, truly making the vehicle stand out.
The event continued past sunset, as everyone got their chance to sit inside the vehicle and experience the ///M Lounge interior design and features of the BMW Operating System 8. With the evening coming to an end, the excitement of guests surpassed expectations. As the new era of M series performance integrates hybrid technology, drivers in Langley and the surrounding Fraser Valley will be happy to know that environmentally-friendly vehicles can still be a thrilling driving experience.
