Most Anticipated Vehicles Coming in 2024

2024 is a busy year in the automotive industry. Not only will this year see a host of new and improved electric vehicles, but new and updated gasoline & hybrid vehicles are also being eagerly anticipated. Here are the new cars, SUVs, and Trucks that we’re looking forward to in 2024.

2024 Toyota Tacoma

The best-selling mid-size pickup truck is receiving a major update in 2024. Not only does the new Tacoma have a fresh interior and exterior design, but it will now be available with a hybrid engine. The powerful i-Force MAX 2.4L turbocharged 4-cylinder engine will produce a net output of 326 hp and 465 lb-ft of torque with exceptional fuel economy.

Inside the 2024 Tacoma, owners will find an available 14” touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay & wireless Android Auto connectivity. The Toyota Tacoma will also be equipped with Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 along with 8 airbags to keep you and your family safe.

The new 2024 Toyota Tacoma will arrive at OpenRoad Toyota dealerships in early 2024 with the Tacoma Hybrid arriving later in the year.

2025 Mazda CX-70

Mazda is continuing to move forwards in becoming a premium brand. Last year, they introduced the 3-row CX-90. In 2024, Mazda is unveiling the all-new CX-70 which is a 2-row version of the Mazda CX-90.

The 2025 CX-70 will utilize the same 3.3L turbocharged inline-6 engine along with the 2.5L plug-in hybrid powertrain that is currently available in the CX-90. The CX-70 will feature a similar chassis to the CX-90 which means driving dynamics and refinement that is akin to premium & luxury brands.

Inside the CX-70, it should have an interior that is similar to the CX-90. That means woven textiles, rich Nappa leather, and wood trim.

The 2025 Mazda CX-70 made its public debut on January 30th, 2024, with vehicles set to arrive at OpenRoad Mazda Port Moody sometime in the Summer.

Lamborghini Revuelto

Every decade or so, Lamborghini gives the world a new flagship model. In 2024, the all-new Revuelto takes the throne of the Aventador. This is the Italian brand’s first production hybrid model with 1,001 hp.

This new car is powered by a V12 engine, just like the last. But it’s an all-new design with the engine weighing 17 kg less than the old V12. On its own, this engine produces 814 hp but it has help from an electric motor that is mounted to an 8-speed dual-clutch transmission. Further aiding the supercar are two electric motors powering the front wheels. The Lamborghini Revuelto will accelerate from 0-100 km/h in just 2.5 seconds and onto a top speed of over 350 km/h.

The interior also receives a major overhaul with an 8.4” infotainment touchscreen, a 12.3” driver display, and small screen in front of the passenger so that they can see the crazy speeds the car can achieve. The cabin is also larger than the Aventador’s with more headroom and legroom for taller individuals.

What’s the cost for this new Lamborghini? It’ll have a base price of $604,000 USD with plenty of options to add onto it. But the Revuelto is already sold out for the first two years of production. Contact Lamborghini Seattle for more details and how to place an order for the Revuelto.

2024 Lexus GX

For those that want to live the adventurous life but without sacrificing luxury, the all-new 2024 Lexus GX is going to be the right SUV for you. The 2024 GX is powered by a twin-turbocharged V6 engine with 349 hp and a full-time 4WD system.  This new SUV can also tow up to 8,000 lbs.

With seating for up to 7, the GX provides the comfort and luxury that is expected of a Lexus vehicle. The 2024 GX is also packed with new technology including an available head-up display, a 12.3 Multi-Information Display and a 14” Multimedia Touchscreen Display with wireless Apple CarPlay & wireless Android Auto connectivity.

The 2024 Lexus GX will be arriving at OpenRoad Lexus Richmond and OpenRoad Lexus Port Moody locations in early 2024.

2024 Mercedes-Benz CLE Coupe and Cabriolet

With an increasingly crowded lineup of new electric models, Mercedes-Benz is slimming its gasoline-only models. The newly formed CLE-class combines the C-class Coupe & Cabriolet along with the E-class Coupe & Cabriolet. Four models become two with the debut of the 2024 CLE Coupe & Cabriolet.

The CLE 300 4Matic will be powered by the same 2.0L turbocharged 4-cylinder engine that is found in many other Mercedes-Benz vehicles. It produces 255 hp and 295 lb-ft of torque with power being delivered to all four wheels via a 9-speed automatic transmission. This powertrain also features a 48-Volt mild-hybrid system that can provide an additional 23 hp and 148 lb-ft of torque for brief periods and improve fuel economy.

The footprint of the new CLE-class is closer to that of the E-class Coupe rather than the C-class Coupe. This means that occupants will have plenty of space in both the front and rear seats. Mercedes-Benz says the trunk is also larger with up to 60 liters of additional space which can accommodate 3 golf bags.

Expect to see the all-new 2024 Mercedes-Benz CLE Coupe & Cabriolet at OpenRoad Mercedes-Benz Surrey in early 2024.

2024 Acura ZDX & Honda Prologue

The Acura ZDX and Honda Prologue are sister cars, not unlike the Subaru Solterra & Toyota bZ4X. The ZDX and Prologue were co-developed with the help of General Motors. The ZDX will be available with a rear-wheel-drive or all-wheel-drive layout and over 500 km of driving range. There’s also talk of a 500+ hp Type-S model coming too.

Like the ZDX, the Honda Prologue will also be available with a single motor or dual motor layout. But unlike the Acura, it is said to have a front-wheel-drive layout instead of RWD. Driving range is estimated to be a little bit less than its sibling but not by much with around 480 km of range. Expect to see the Acura ZDX and Honda Prologue at OpenRoad Acura and OpenRoad Honda dealerships in Richmond, Burnaby, Surrey, & Brampton in early 2024.

2025 Volkswagen ID.Buzz

The Volkswagen ID. Buzz is an all-electric van that harkens back to the VW Bus of the 1950’s and 1960’s. It has retro-inspired styling but modern-day underpinnings. The 86 kWh battery pack supplies power to a rear-wheel-drive 282 hp motor or an all-wheel-drive dual-motor with 330 hp. The estimated driving range is around 400 km, but no word yet on pricing. OpenRoad Volkswagen Burnaby is currently taking pre-orders for the ID. Buzz with deliveries expected sometime in late 2024.

2024 Audi Q6 e-tron

Slotting in between the Q4 e-tron and the Q8 e-tron, the upcoming Audi Q6 e-tron will be similar in size to the wildly popular Audi Q5. Two versions of the Q6 e-tron will be available with the standard producing 375 hp, while the SQ6 e-tron will produce upwards of 480 hp. As for driving range, the standard Q6 e-tron is said to have upwards of 500 km. The Audi Q6 e-tron is undergoing final testing and should be arriving at OpenRoad Audi by the middle or late 2024.

2024 Toyota Land Cruiser

After a 35-year hiatus, the 2024 Toyota Land Cruiser is ready to once again explore Canada’s wilderness. The 2024 Toyota Land Cruiser is powered by a turbocharged 2.4L engine with a 48-hp electric motor integrated into an eight-speed transmission. The total system output is 326 horsepower and 465 lb.-ft. of torque. All that power is distributed by the standard 4WD system with a locking center differential and electronically controlled two-speed transfer case with high/low range. With a trailer hitch standard on all grades, Land Cruisers can tow up to 6,000 pounds.

Inside, the 2024 Land Cruiser is strictly a 2-row, 5-passenger SUV with black fabric seats in the 1958 Edition. Standard is an 8” touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay & Android Auto connectivity. The Land Cruiser grade has heated and ventilated SofTex-trimmed seats and a larger 12.3” touchscreen display. The Land Cruiser First Edition is exclusively available with leather-trimmed seats and a “First Edition” logo embossed on the door panels.

Expect to see the new Toyota Land Cruiser at any of our 5 OpenRoad Toyota dealerships in Spring of 2024.
